    Victoria has put out notice that it plans to be Australia’s capital for digital infrastructure, data capacity, and adoption of artificial intelligence.

    The state has released a plan to develop and adopt AI “responsibly and ethically,” in a transfer that comes as the federal government recognises the speedy uptake of superior and rising know-how by workplaces, households, and colleges.

    $8m for AI profession program

    The mission assertion is supported by a $5.5 million motion plan for sustainable information centres to cement Victoria’s status as a regional hub within the Asia Pacific for such infrastructure, and a $8.1 million AI profession conversion program to assist at-risk industries upskill employees to tackle AI roles as know-how specialists.
