Samsung Says Its Next Galaxy Z Foldables Will Be Its ‘Thinnest, Lightest’

One other week, one other cryptic teaser for Samsung’s upcoming foldables.

On Monday, the corporate stated in a weblog put up that its “latest Galaxy Z sequence is the thinnest, lightest and most superior foldable but.” This comes after Samsung final week teased a foldable packing “an Ultra-experience,” together with a “highly effective digicam” and “AI-powered instruments.”

Now, it seems Samsung is borrowing from the design of one other certainly one of its telephones, the slim and light-weight Galaxy S25 Edge. It is also following within the footsteps of one other skinny foldable, the Oppo Find N5, which is dubbed “the world’s thinnest book-style foldable when closed.” Whether or not Oppo will maintain onto that title after Samsung’s reveal stays to be seen.

In its put up, Samsung notes that, “it is solely pure that customers need a foldable system that’s as simple to hold as it’s to make use of. To that finish, Samsung engineers and designers are refining every technology of the Galaxy Z sequence to be thinner, lighter and extra sturdy than the final.”

Personally, I am all for a thinner and lighter foldable; the Galaxy S25 Edge and Oppo Find N5 actually opened my eyes to how way more pleasant utilizing a slim and light-weight system will be. I can see the Galaxy Z Fold particularly benefitting from this redesign, because the Z Fold 6 continues to be fairly cumbersome. However even a slim Galaxy Z Flip may assist revive the nostalgia of a thin flip cellphone, even perhaps higher than the modern-day Motorola Razr.

Samsung’s new Galaxy Z foldables are slated to reach in the summertime, and it seems the corporate will hold dropping hints about what’s in retailer main as much as the total reveal.
