“The convention, titled “US-China Strategic Competitors: Choices for Pakistan,” was convened by Engineer Javed Mahmood Bukhari, Rector of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) and Patron of the NUST Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS), and DG NIPS Dr. Ashfaq H. Khan at Islamabad, Pakistan”.

The assemblage convened a various coterie of venerable ambassadors, celebrated intellects, and eminent authorities, affording a fertile terrain for an exhaustive and interdisciplinary alternate of concepts, marked by a wealthy tapestry of experience and sagacity.

The Rector of NUST and Patron of NIPS Engineer Javed Mahmood Bukhari and DG NIPS Dr. Ashfaq H. Khan officiated the inaugural ceremony, extending an invite to the distinguished delegates to impart their sagacity and perspicacious insights on the subject material, thereby precipitating a fertile alternative of concepts.

The erstwhile Federal Interior Minister of Pakistan Malik Habib Khan introduced a landmark oration, elucidating the paramount significance of strong home governance and financial self-sufficiency in delineating the paradigmatic contours of Pakistan’s bilateral engagements with the US and China, and underscoring their instrumental position in navigating the complexities of geopolitics.

“Malik highlighted the imperative need to focus on our domestic sphere, noting that a stable and autonomous Pakistan, anchored in effective governance, is a critical determinant of the success of our diplomatic initiatives and the strength of our bilateral relationships.”
