    Honolulu police shut down illegal gambling operation, seizing cash and machines

    The Honolulu Police Division has taken to social media to share they’ve shut down an unlawful playing operation on Kawaiaha’o Road in Honolulu, Hawaii.

    They are saying officers executed a search warrant on what they describe to be an ‘unlawful playing institution’ on Tuesday (December 9), which noticed two individuals arrested together with the seizure of multiple gaming machines, money and drug-related paraphernalia.

    A 58-year-old girl from the Kāneʻohe space and a 29-year-old male from the Aiea space have been arrested on suspicion of “Selling Playing within the Second Diploma and Possession of a Playing Gadget.” The police say the arrests had been made with out incident.

    At round 5 pm, the Narcotics/Vice Division Playing Element, with help from the District 1 Crime Discount Unit, Forfeiture Element, Airport Operations Group, and the Specialised Providers Division, served a search warrant on an alleged illegal game room positioned on the road.

    In the course of the search operation, the police division says “officers recovered 16 playing machines with an estimated mixed worth of $135,000, together with $3,910 in money.”

    Inside the social media submit, the Honolulu Police Division say they continue to be dedicated to addressing unlawful playing operations that negatively affect the security and high quality of life in our communities.

    This announcement comes simply days after 18 playing machines had been seized following a search warrant in Ewa Seashore, which had been reported to have an estimated mixed worth of $155,000. This occurred on December 3, 2025, with the HPD officers from the Narcotics Vice Division, assisted by the District 8 Crime Discount Unit and the Specialised Providers Division, having executed a search warrant on Outdated Fort Weaver Highway.

    In the course of the search, the playing machines had been seized together with over $5,000 in money. A 46-year-old man was additionally arrested on suspicion of “Selling Playing within the Second Diploma and Possession of a Playing Gadget, based on a police update.
