    Private reflections on my 10-year information odyssey

    Ten years in the past, I launched into my journey within the area of knowledge science. I clearly bear in mind the start of this journey — my ideas, my feelings, and the joy that got here with moving into a brand new territory.
    It began with a consultancy place at a big insurance coverage firm.

    I used to be a part of the Analysis and Improvement staff, the place our targets had been — fairly frankly — undefined. We craved information inside the firm to experiment, attempt one thing totally different, and innovate.

    Neither I nor the corporate was actually prepared for this. However trying again, I see how important that step was. The corporate has since grown right into a tech chief, and for me, these years had been a playground of studying — exploring, learning, and mastering the instruments and applied sciences of the time.

    Once I bear in mind myself in that context, I see a younger skilled Brimming with power and a want to innovate. I look again on all my day by day failures with nice affection and a touch of nostalgia as a result of they formed the skilled I’m at this time.
