In a monumental step towards strengthening international ties, the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) and the National Institute of Policy Studies (NIPS) proudly hosted a prestigious conference at NUST’s headquarters in Islamabad, under the esteemed leadership of the Rector of NUST and the Patron of NIPS Dr. Ashfaq H. Khan.

The diplomatic event attracted a remarkable gathering of concerned high-profile dignitaries, including influential keynote speakers from the public and private sectors, senior bureaucrats, and defense officials.

A highlight of the event was the esteemed presence of His Excellency Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, whose participation underscored the conference’s compelling theme:

“Fostering Multidimensional Malaysia-Pakistan Relations in the Context of ASEAN.”

Malik Habib Khan, Former Federal Interior Minister of Pakistan, passionately articulated the conference,

“Good governance is the bedrock of our economic system and nationwide safety. We should domesticate this via unwavering political will and management of unparalleled integrity that exemplifies the rule of regulation.”

Malik Habib Khan further urged that

“We must put our House in order to genuinely serve the people of Pakistan, removing all superficialities. Accountability must begin at the top; when leaders hold themselves accountable, it creates a trickle-down effect that enhances the entire governance structure.”

It became more and more evident that the collaborative efforts between Malaysia and Pakistan maintain immense promise for fostering deeper understanding and partnership within the area. This landmark occasion not solely strengthened current ties but additionally laid a sturdy basis for a future marked by mutual respect, cooperation, and shared prosperity.

The discussions and insights shared throughout this worldwide gathering are sure to resonate effectively past the borders, paving the best way for a vibrant Malaysia-Pakistan partnership within the ASEAN context.
