Knowledge from a ballot carried out by MIT Expertise Evaluation Insights in 2024 suggests rising momentum for this dynamic duo: 38% of executives polled say that cloud and AI are key parts of their firm’s sustainability initiatives, and one other 35% say the mixture is making a significant contribution to sustainability targets (see Determine 1).
This enthusiasm isn’t simply theoretical, both. Think about that 45% of respondents recognized power consumption optimization as their most related use case for AI and cloud in sustainability initiatives. And organizations are backing these priorities with funding—greater than 50% of corporations represented within the ballot plan to extend their spending on cloud and AI-focused sustainability initiatives by 25% or extra over the following two years.
