    A crew from Beijing’s Tsinghua University has developed **Taichi-II**, the world’s first absolutely optical AI chip. This new chip excels in power effectivity, outperforming NVIDIA‘s H100 GPU. The innovation, led by Professors Fang Lu and Dai Qionghai, marks a major advance in optical computing know-how.
