Fumbling with bindings is no one’s concept of a great time, particularly within the chilly and the snow. That is why snowboarder Brendan Walker created the Machina MagIC Journey System, which replaces conventional snowboard bindings with magnets.
At present the topic of a Kickstarter marketing campaign, Machina MagIC (Magnetic Interlocking Connection) consists of a system-specific pair of trainers and a pair of board-mounted baseplates that go along with them. It is claimed to be the world’s lightest, narrowest snowboard “binding” system.
