    Committee Chair Walberg presses sports unions for answers on illegal gambling scandals

    US Schooling and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg has despatched letters to a number of sports activities organizations within the wake of illegal sports gambling schemes involving skilled athletes.

    Walberg sent queries to numerous organizations on Tuesday (December 9), together with the Nationwide Soccer League Gamers Affiliation (NFLPA), the Main League Baseball Gamers Affiliation (MLBPA), the Nationwide Basketball Gamers Affiliation (NBPA), the Nationwide Hockey League Gamers Affiliation (NHLPA), and the Main League Soccer Gamers Affiliation (MLSPA), asking how they’re working to help gamers within the wake of varied unlawful sports activities playing schemes.

    The letter goes on to make direct point out of the NBA case involving former Miami Heat player Terry Rozier and former Cleveland Cavaliers participant and assistant coach Damon Jones, as properly that associated to 2 Cleveland Guardians pitchers, Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz.
